2018 Outlook - U.S. Payroll

The new tax law brings many changes for payroll professionals in 2018. A big change involved changes to federal income tax brackets and Form W-4 withholding rules, which the IRS plans to update soon. The law also eliminated tax-free moving expenses, personal exemptions and the employee mandate under the Affordable Care Act.  Employers in 25 states must calculate unemployment taxes for 2018 using taxable wage bases that differ from those from 2017.  Tax's 2018 Outlook on U.S. Payroll will explore these changes.
