START Program

The START program is a 12-month rotational series training program that will teach you sales and sales operations from the ground up. The program includes three, four month rotational assignments and specific formal training which includes:

  • An overview of the think and code business, our customers, products, pricing models, and business systems.
  • Sales tactics essential to a consultative selling program.
  • Participation in customer visits with sales professionals and Regional Sales Managers.

At the end of the 12-month program, your progress will be assessed by the sales management team and Human Resources to determine your readiness to graduate from the program and to assume an outside sales position. Additionally, graduates of the program agree to be placed in an outside sales role and will relocate to their new sales territory within 90 days of successfully completing the program.

think and code recruits candidates from the program on a quarterly basis. Candidates must meet the minimum job qualifications as outlined below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, pre-law, or related field.
  • One year of work experience (including summer internships), with demonstrated patterns of high achievement and performance.
  • Valid driver’s license and full use of a vehicle required for customer appointments.
  • 3.0 GPA.
  • Willingness to relocate after successful program completion. Relocation assistance will be provided to the Maryland, DC, and Virginia areas, as well as to the new sales territory.
