Donald J. Segal FSA

Donald J. Segal is a retired Vice President from Aon Hewitt in New York where he specialized in analysis, interpretation and application of laws and guidance as they apply to qualified retirement plans.  

He is a member and past President of the Society of Actuaries and served as Vice President for Pensions of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is former Chair of the Academy Pension Practice Council, Pension Committee and IRS Advisory Committee for Tax Exempt and Government Entities. 

Mr. Segal originated and organized the Funding Reform Advisory Task Force, a group of actuaries, lawyers and professionals who provided input to the federal agencies responsible for drafting guidance under the Pension Protection Act of 2006. 

Mr. Segal received the John E. O’Connor Distinguished Service Award from the Society of Actuaries, the Conference of Consulting Actuaries Lifetime Achievement Award and the Jarvis Farley Service Award from the American Academy of Actuaries.

He is a received his B.S. from Yale University.
