Roxana Tiron


Roxana Tiron covers the U.S. Congress and national security for Government. Tiron joined News as a national security reporter in 2011. Since then she’s added coverage of U.S. House leadership, Congress and the 2012 presidential campaign to her portfolio. Roxana now covers defense in Congress. Previously she worked at The Hill where she built up the defense business and national security coverage. 

Prior to joining The Hill, Roxana was a reporter and assistant editor of National Defense magazine in Arlington, VA, where she wrote about warfare training and foreign militaries. Her job took her to Kosovo, the Southern Arabian Gulf and Asia. Roxana was a fellow at the Washington Center for Politics and Journalism in Washington, D.C. and
worked for CNN’s Inside Politics and World View.

She holds an undergraduate degree from the American University in Bulgaria and an M.S. in broadcast journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
