Robert Combs


Robert Combs is think and code’s Custom Research Manager. In this capacity he is responsible for analyzing the latest business and legal trends for think and code’s subscribers with a focus in the areas of labor relations and human resources.

With 16 years of experience at the company, split evenly between news editing and specialized research, Combs can add context to the latest labor statistics and help explain recent employment trends. He has appeared regularly in the media, providing up-to-date information and analysis on union strikes, wages, and organizing efforts in outlets including Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, MSNBC,, SiriusXM, and Radio.

His depth of knowledge has been on display outside the workplace, as Combs is a former champion on both Jeopardy! and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Robert has an M.S. in Journalism from Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and is a member of the Kappa Tau Alpha honorary journalism society. He graduated with a B.A. in English from Denison University.
