The Honorable George C. Pratt, an arbitrator, mediator and consultant in national and international disputes, serves as Special Counsel to litigation department in major federal and state trial and appellate cases. Mr. Pratt is a former judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and a former U.S. District Court Judge in the Eastern District of New York. He rejoined Farrell Fritz, the firm he helped found prior to his judicial appointments, in 2001.

Mr. Pratt handles arbitrations, mediations and consulting work and cases involving expert witnesses. He deals mostly with complex commercial cases, insurance, reinsurance and corporate disputes.

Mr. Pratt is the author of two volumes on appeals to the federal circuit courts in the current edition of Moore's Federal Practice as well as the coauthor of a volume on jury charges in Section 1983 Litigation. He also served as a Distinguishing Visiting Professor at Hofstra Law School, a Professor of Law at Touro Law School and an Adjunct Professor of Law at St. John's University Law School.

Mr. Pratt graduated from Yale College and Yale Law School.
