Mike Mason, a Partner in the Washington, D.C., office of , practices principally in the area of federal, state, and local government contracts with an emphasis on representing clients in matters involving litigation, contract disputes and claims, investigations of alleged misconduct and fraud, government compliance requirements, and complex transactions.

Mr. Mason has extensive experience litigating before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, U.S. district courts, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), boards of contract appeals, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Departmental Appeals Board, and other administrative tribunals. A significant portion of his litigation practice includes representing clients in bid protests (including protests involving classified contracts), contract dispute cases, False Claims Act and other alleged misconduct cases, suspension and debarment proceedings, and appeals on behalf of states or their contractors of block grant dis-allowances by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. Mr Mason also represents clients in connection with government audits and investigations, including fraud investigations led by the Department of Justice.

Mr. Mason regularly counsels clients on a wide variety of compliance issues, including those relating to Multiple Award Schedule contracting (for example, compliance requirements associated with commercial sales practices disclosures and the price reduction clause), procurement integrity and ethical conduct requirements, domestic preferences, data rights protection, government-unique service contracting requirements and fiscal law.

Mr. Mason received his B.A. from Ursinus College and his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School.
