Leonard Silverstein
Leonard Silverstein is the co-founder of Silverstein and Mullens, which later became part of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. He concentrates his practice in estate planning, nonprofit organizations, charitable contributions and representation before the Internal Revenue Service and Treasury Department. Leonard is a shareholder and a member of the firm's Tax Section, as well as the Business Tax Practice Group. Leonard is founder of the highly regarded Tax Management Portfolio Series. Leonard had previously served as an attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service and was on the legal advisory staff of the Treasury Department during the legislative development of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. He served for 10 years as vice chairman of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and is currently an active honorary member of the board.
