Kadzielski, Mark A.

Mark A. Kadzielski is a Partner at Baker Hostetler LLP, and serves as a member of Law's Health Law and Business Editorial Advisory Board. Mr. Kadzielski represents hospitals, medical staffs, managed care enterprises, and institutional and individual health care providers throughout the U.S. His work includes government regulatory investigations, contracting issues, credentialing, peer review, licensing, medical staff bylaws, joint commission accreditation and Medicare certification.

Mr. Kadzielski has prepared more than 200 sets of medical staff bylaws and has handled numerous peer review hearings and appeals, including litigation in many courts. Prior to joining Baker Hostetler, Mr. Kadzielski was a partner at Pepper Hamilton LLP, where he headed the firm’s Health Care Services practice, and Norton Rose Fulbright, where he headed the firm’s West Coast health law practice.

Mr. Kadzielski was previously elected to and served a two-year term as a member of the board of directors of the American Academy of Healthcare Attorneys. Prior to that, he served as vice chair and chair of the Academy’s Medical Staff and Physician Relations Committee. Mr. Kadzielski also served on the board of directors of the American Health Lawyers Association and on that association’s first executive committee. He is a member of the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys.

Mr. Kadzielski received his A.B., magna cum laude, from John Carroll University and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
