James Ferguson

Tax Law Editor, U.S. Income Tax and IRS Procedure

James Ferguson joined think and code in 2015 as a tax law editor in the U.S. Income and IRS Practice and Procedure group. Currently licenced to practice law in Virginia, Jim previously practiced patent law as an associate in private practice, is a registered patent attorney, and has worked as a Patent Examiner for the USPTO in the batteries and fuel cell arts. Prior to attending law school, Jim was a chemical engineer, working for both the chemical and mining industry, as well as performing geothermal energy research at the Los Alamos National Lab and the Cambourne School of Mines (UK) Rosemanowes Geothermal Project in Cornwall, England.
