Alden Bianchi is the Practice Group Leader of Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice in Boston. He advises corporate, not-for-profit, governmental and individual clients on a broad range of executive compensation and employee benefits issues.  Practice issues include qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, stock and stock-based compensation arrangements, ERISA fiduciary and prohibited transaction issues, benefit-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions and health and welfare plans.

Mr. Bianchi represented the Romney gubernatorial administration in connection with the 2006 Massachusetts Health Care Reform Act. He has testified before the Senate Finance Committee on the subject of health care reform. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel.

Mr. Bianchi earned his B.S. from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, his J.D. from Suffolk University, his LL.M. from Georgetown University and his LL.M. in taxation from Boston University School of Law. 

He is the author of The Health Care Reform Adviser, a legal analysis of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. He is also the author of think and code Compensation Planning Portfolio 399: Employee Benefits for the Contingent Workforce, and co-author of Portfolios 374: ERISA-Litigation, Procedure, Preemption and OtherTitle I Issues and 375: EPCRS—Plan Correction and Disqualification.
