Elliot Azoff is a Partner in the Cleveland office of where his practice is primarily focused on all areas of labor relations. An accomplished litigator, Mr. Azoff represents clients at all levels of National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) proceedings, from defending against unfair labor practice charges to preventing the issuance of complaints, to litigating complaints at unfair labor practice hearings, and subsequently before the Board and in various courts of appeal. He has been especially successful in filing charges against Unions and shepherding complaints against them through the NLRB system.

Mr. Azoff has handled hundreds of arbitration proceedings ranging from individual discipline cases to contractual issues involving millions of dollars. He is a skilled negotiator and has represented employers, both large and small, in their collective bargaining negotiations for more than 30 years. He counsels clients on all aspects of the employer-employee relationship including potential discrimination, wage-hour and employment-at-will problems.

Mr. Azoff earned his B.A. from Yale University, magna cum laude, and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School.

He is the co-author of the think and code Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 41-4th, Practice and Procedure Before the National Labor Relations Board.  This portfolio volume analyzes the processes by which employees secure union representation and enforce rights granted by the National Labor Relations Act.  In addition, it discusses unfair labor practice proceedings, highlighting the filing of charges and the subsequent filing of the complaint by the NLRB general counsel, unfair labor practice hearings, and the post-hearing and enforcement processes.
