Alex Ruoff

Alex Ruoff is a reporter for Law, covering the intersection of health care and politics in Washington. He’s written about the impact of Obamacare on hospital financing, doctor’s work habits and our everyday health and wellness. He joined the Capitol Hill team in 2016 to cover Obamacare repeal efforts and the Trump Administration’s impact on health policy. He focuses primarily on insurance markets and Medicare and Medicaid policy. Before joining Law Ruoff worked for a local newspaper, The Gazette, in Montgomery County, Md., where he covered everything from crime and courts to traffic and homelessness.

He earned a Master’s in Interactive Journalism from American University and a Bachelor’s from Salisbury University.
